Another one to the collection!
Oct 25, 2024When I was invited by friends to a Christopher Ward showcase in New York, I didn’t expect to leave with one of the coolest watches in my collection but that’s exactly what happened. At the show, the The Twelve in Nordic Blue immediately caught my eye. After handling it in person, I ordered it right there and after a two-week wait, it finally arrived. And let me tell you: it was worth every second. One of the first things you notice about The Twelve is how thin and lightweight it wears. The stainless steel case measures **40 mm in diameter with a slim profile of about 9.95 mm — making it super comfortable on the wrist and easy to wear all day, every day. Because of the relatively short lug-to-lug of 44.5 mm and its integrated bracelet design, it sits perfectly on my wrist without feeling bulky even though it’s a full-sized sports watch. The Nordic Blue dial is truly the star of the show. Under different lighting, the textured dial seems to shift and glow, giving off a dazzling effect that draws attention without feeling too loud. There’s a subtle pattern that plays with light beautifully — especially in sunlight — and it gives the watch a dynamic, almost premium-luxury vibe. The design is sporty yet refined, with polished indices and hands that catch the light just right. A date window at 6 o’clock keeps the dial balanced and elegant without clutter. Another thing I loved about my purchase was that it didn’t just come on the bracelet — the sales manager also gave me a matching blue rubber strap for free. That added versatility means I can dress the watch up or down depending on what I’m wearing, making it even more of a go-anywhere, do-anything piece. Since it arrived, The Twelve has become my most complimented watch. People constantly stop to ask about it — and it’s easy to see why. The Nordic Blue dial pops, the integrated bracelet looks modern and premium, and the overall design just works with everything from T-shirts and jeans to a more polished, smart casual look. Now lastly, I know that many people can see this watch and think of the Tissot PRX Powermatic. Well, at least I thought of that. If you’re comparing watches in this style, I genuinely feel that The Twelve blows the Tissot PRX Powermatic out of the water. While both are great sports watches, The Twelve feels like the PRX on crack — offering a richer design, better finishing, and overall more refined presence. For people deciding between the two, I’d say paying an extra $500–$600 for this Christopher Ward is absolutely worth it — the quality difference is real. If there is one watch you want to wear to get them eyes stuck to it, it's the one. In this case, I don't see nothing wrong with trying to flex a bit. This CW12 has got your back and will make sure it gets noticed.
