Cars and Coffee in Dulles Landing

Nov 14, 2020

Every Sunday, there is a car meet that occurs in South Riding, VA. My friends and I have been attending this meet from time to time. It’s a lot more different than the usual meets you probably go to. In case you’re not familiar with Cars and Coffee (C&C). Here, you can find cars that you most likely won’t see in other casual meets filled with young adults who think their bagged Genesis is cool. No, here at Cars & Coffee, you will find it to be more peaceful and that it gives you a true ‘car meet’ vibe. A variety of cars show up here. In fact, C&C was the first place I ever spotted a Toyota AE86. Out of all the meets I’ve been to, this was the place it showed up. I’m guessing that the owners of hard to find cars are choosing to go to this meet instead of out of control meets to avoid any crazy situations. One good thing about this meet, is that most people are friendly. I’m not saying that other meets don’t have friendly people, but I do believe that most people who attend C&C are true car enthusiasts, and that they attend to truly appreciate cars instead of showing them off. Every time I attend this meet, one of my friends is always talking to someone new. In fact, my last visit to this event helped me meet someone who drives a Honda CRZ with a Sprintex Supercharger. He came up to me and talked to me about my Honda Fit. Yes, that’s right. A Honda Fit. He sparked the conversation by talking about how it sounded nice and asked what exhaust it was. From there, we talked about the cars we liked, future mods, and other great Honda talk. I also learned that he also has a project car. One thing I noticed about this meet, is that each week you always see new cars and new people. I’m not sure what kind of magic is going on here, but every week there are always new cars rolling up. Its great. As of now, it’s getting closer to the winter season, so I’m sure the attendance might be dropping until Spring. If you’re in the Norther Virginia area, or anywhere near by, I would highly recommend stopping by. Even if you’re not a car enthusiast, I still recommend coming to this meet. It’s a great atmosphere, and even you will be shocked by some of the cars that show up here.
