I'm Back

It's been almost 2 years since I last updated this blog. At the time, I thought that there was no reason to have this site up. It's nothing special and really was just built for practice. However, I now decided I'm going bring it back since it's also something to do. Anyway, A lot has happened since the last post. At the time of the last post, I was living in DC, but have now moved back to Virginia. I really love where I'm at as there is lots to do and the overall space is bigger. Luckily I'm also very close to the metro (4 minute walk) which makes my commute to DC very doable. I traveled a bit including an overseas trip to Spain, which I will be talked about in the next few blog posts. I should also be visiting El Salvador in August, so stay tuned for that. I also mentioned that I made some changes to the site. I changed the overall appearance of the site to make it look more lively. If you saw this blog in it's early days, you would've noticed that the site had a more bland color combo (not saying its bad but it just didn't look good to me) so I definitely needed to change that. I feel like the overall style of this site brings it to life, and just looks more modern. The green is nice and subtle and fits well with the page. The actual post page is my favorite as I decided to use the thumbnail as the background of the post. It uses an overlay to make it look slightly hidden to make the text easy to read. Of course, in mobile this was not going to look good, so I kept it simple and kept it how it was normally. I also fixed my picture As I believe it was too big at the time especially when viewing the site from a mobile phone. Either way, I think for now, I will keep new changes very subtle.
