The Ritter Family Christmas

Dec 13, 2020

Yesterday, me and a couple of friends decided to drive around the Centreville area to watch some of the Christmas light displays on houses. While driving around we found some entertaining ones. In fact, there was one where the owner of the house decorated each part of the house with lights. The result looked like a gingerbread house. However, near the end of our little journey, we decided to visit the Ritter Family Christmas show to witness such a nice display of Christmas lights. I'm glad to see that there are some folks out there that love to show their Christmas spirit. This display is not your ordinary display. Most houses simply have static lights that stay on until their turned off. However, this family decided to turn it up a notch. Their display is actually synchronized to a computer that displays lights depending on the music being played. So, in other words, every single decoration has flickering lights that match the music being played. In fact, they've been doing this display since 2006. If you stick around after 2 or 3 different displays, the lights return back to a static display for some time. One of the members of the Ritter family can be heard speaking on the radio (you could also tune into 105.7 FM to listen to the music that's being played), wishing viewers a happy Christmas and explaining when the show will begin again. What's great about this place is that it’s not part of an event or closed neighborhood meaning that you could go there whenever you want free of charge. If you happen to be in the Northern Virginia area, I will highly recommend visiting this place. If you’re not in the area, don’t fret. The Ritter Family Christmas have their own Facebook page that have plenty of videos for you to enjoy. You can also find them on YouTube.
